The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston

The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston was started in 1935 with the mission to provide decent, safe and sanitary housing to citizens on low – to moderate – income. Every day, over 4,000 households, roughly 9.2% of the population of the City of Charleston, are occupied by families who receive housing assistance through the Housing Authority.
